It's hard to believe that one month ago today I was in the hospital delivering my little angel! She is growing like crazy...lengthwise anyway! Her hospital picture will be posted on Our365.com within the next couple of days, if any of you want to see it. They said at the latest it will be Tuesday, so if you search for it & don't see it, keep checking back! Anyway, just thought I would write a small something today! Sorry I don't have a picture to post...left my camera at the house & I'm at mom's!
Okay...I finally got a picture...

Good Luck Morgan!
As most of you may know, my cousin, Morgan Alford, is a great singer. She is in a competition tonight in Monroe, Louisiana. It is a country version of American Idol, but I'm not real sure of what the correct name is. Tonight is round 1 and she will be singing a Reba song, Fancy. Hopefully she will pass & continue on to round 2. Good luck tonight Morgan! We love you!

One year!
Terry & I celebrated our first wedding anniversary on Dec. 29. Of course, we didn't get to do much since we had a newborn at the house! We let my sister, Brandi, keep Natalee for a few hours while we went to eat. We were planning on going to see a movie, however we couldn't stay away from our 1 week old for very long, so we decided not to go. I still can't believe we have been married a year. However, it was a wonderful year!
Christmas 2008
I know I'm not good at keeping this thing updated by I'm trying to do better!
We got out of the hospital on Christmas Eve and went to stay at my mom's that night. We got up early Christmas morning to see what "Santa" brought Natalee (I know she was only 3 days old but she had to have something!) and to open gifts. We always have to get up & open presents around 5 a.m., it's tradition! Next year, though my family will have to come to our house! We went to my Aunt Debbie's to see what Ryan and Katie Lauren got then went back to take a nap! We always have Christmas at granny's Christmas night. We usually eat about 5 then open presents. Of course Natalee didn't get much but she did get a doll with her name on it that was the same size as her! and Katie Lauren "made" her a Precious Moments doll. It was so sweet! We had Christmas with my dad & Irene the next day.
We had had Christmas with Terry's family the Sunday before Christmas. We went to Stewart that Saturday and spent the night with them. We got up that Sunday morning and went to church, then went to Mamaw Boatman's for Christmas lunch. We then headed back to the Mitchell's to open gifts with them. They got Natalee the cutest teddy bear. If you press each paw, it says a different prayer!
Here are some pics of our first Christmas as a family!!

Natalee Elisabeth is here!
We are proud to announce the birth of our beautiful baby girl!! Natalee Elisabeth Mitchell was born on December 22, 2008 at 6:55 p.m. She weighed 5 lbs. 9 oz. and was 18.5 inches long. We had our 2 week check up on Monday, Jan. 5 and she has gained 5 oz. and is now 19.5 inches long. She is doing great!
The birth story:
On the morning of Dec. 22, I started having contractions that were 5 minutes apart. Terry & I headed out to the hospital. After being admitted, they checked me & was going to send me home, since I wasn't really in labor. I was dilated to 1 cm so the doc decided to keep me. They started pitocin drip at 12:20 p.m. and my contractions started getting stronger but no closer together. I finally dilated to 3 cm and my water had broken. Natalee's heartrate kept dropping everytime I had a contraction so I was rushed to the OR at about 6:00. I had to have an emergency section. So at 6:55 p.m. our beautiful baby girl was born. Terry got to take her to the nursery while I went to the recovery room. Finally by 7:30 I was taken to my room, however I didn't get to hold my baby girl until about 4:00 a.m.
