First shots! :(

Natalee got her first shots yesterday! She did pretty well, but of course they hurt so she screamed & cried, but that's ok cause mommy cried too! When they were finished, I got her dressed & she went straight to sleep! She weighed 8 lbs. 11 oz. and was 21.5 inches long, which means she gained 4 oz. & .25 inch within a week! The doc said she is growing right on track & everything is perfect, she is just going to be petite. It's hard to believe she is still wearing newborn diapers & some newborn clothes considering she is 2 months old! Oh and her ear infection is completely gone too! Yay for antibiotics! Doc also said we can start cereal in about 5-6 weeks, which means she will be eating with a spoon. That ought to be fun! Well that's about it for the check up. I'll update with other news later...

Natalee is sick!

Natalee has been having this really bad cough, so I decided to take her to the doctor Tuesday. The doctor said he didn't hear anything in her lungs to make her congested so it is probably just the crud that everyone else has had. He also checked her ears & throat, you know, the normal stuff. Well come to find out, she has her first EAR INFECTION! Her temperature was 100.5 when we went in and they checked it again before we left and it was 99.9. They also did some blood work to make sure it hadn't spread to anywhere else. Luckily it hasn't. They also weighed her & in 4 weeks, she has gained 2 1/2 lbs. She now weighs 8 lbs. 7 oz.!
We stayed home from daycare yesterday just in case she ran a fever. She felt fine so we went to daycare today!

First day of daycare!

Natalee started daycare Monday (2/9/09). I believe she loves it. Ms. Pat sure does love her! She says she is a good baby.

Valentine's Day

Of course yesterday was Valentine's Day. Natalee wore the dress that Aunt Brandi bought her to daycare Friday. She was so cute! She stayed at her Mamaw & Papaw Mitchell's yesterday while Terry & I had a night to ourselves. We went to Starkville to Old Venice Pizza Co. then to the movies. We saw Taken which was a great movie! Terry gave me an Open Heart necklace, designed by Jane Seymour. Hope everyone had a great day as well!!

Natalee loves her bumbo!

Natalee turned 6 weeks old last Monday (02/02). We put her in her Bumbo chair for the first time. At first she didn't know what was going on. We have been putting her in it at least once a day & she has become very comfortable with it. In fact when we put her in it, she sits there & laughs!
