6 Month Check Up

Natalee had her 6 month check up yesterday. She weighs 13 lbs. 6 oz. & was 24 3/4 inches long! She was healthy except for a small ear infection. It didn't clear up with the first antibiotics but it didn't get worse, which is a good thing. We are gonna try a different antibiotic & if that doesn't work we have to have 3 shots. If it doesn't clear up then we will have to have tubes. Hopefully it will clear up with this antibiotic!! He also gave me some Flouride drops, since I am using regular tap water for her bottles now. Dr. Boldon had to clean her ear to make sure it was infected & I think she cried worse when he did that than when she got the shots! Poor baby! She was in a great mood after that though!

A Week in Review!

Last weekend, I noticed, my tooth started hurting. I looked like it may have been cracked but I couldn't see it too well to really notice. I went to the dentist Wednesday morning. There was actually a hole in my tooth! He told me I could either have it pulled or have a root canal & a crown. I opted for the root canal & crown! My cousin, Carey Allen, is a root canal specialist (Endodontist) in Jackson. I called him as soon as I got back to work (10:45) to schedule an appointment. He was leaving for Peru on Saturday & was gonna be off Thursday & Friday, all he had open was at 12:45/1:00 that day. I had to leave work & make a trip to Jackson ASAP! I got it done though...now I'm waiting for Thursday to get my crown!

Dustin is playing on the summer baseball team at Carroll. Thursday they played Pillow Academy. Carroll won game one 12-6 & game two but I'm not sure of the final score for that game. Terry & I along with my mom & Katie Lauren took Natalee to watch Uncle Dustin play. She loved it! She loves being outside anyways, but she just sat there & watched them play. That is when she wasn't being fussy or hungry! Good Luck the rest of the season boys!

Saturday we had Natalee's 6 month pics taken. Proofs should be ready sometime this week! She was good for the most part. About halfway through she got hungry & started fussing. When she got finished eating, we finished the inside pics then moved outside. She was so cute & did such a good job! Mr. Price said he would put some of her pics on his website, but I'm not sure if he has or not yet. You can check out his pics at www.pricesphotography.com. There is no certain place hers will be. They can either be in the welcome gallery or the kids gallery. I'll try to look & see if they are up yet & let ya know!!

ETA: Price's now has 2 of Natalee's pics on their website. They are in the Welcome Gallery that comes up when you first get to their site. She is the 2nd picture & a little ways down. The first pic is a white background. She has on a white shirt with different colors on it. The second pic is outside. She is sitting in a red chair with an American outfit on, holding a flower. Too cute! Go check them out if you want to!

Happy 1/2 Birthday Natalee!

Last Monday was Natalee's 6 month birthday! I can't believe she is already 6 months old! This 1/2 year has flown by & I know the next will too! Natalee happened to be sick that day, so I had to stay home with her. I ended up taking her back to the doctor that afternoon, but they didn't see anything else wrong with her besides her bronchitis & her ear infection, which was almost cleared up. I have a couple of good pics of her, I'll have to upload later (don't have my camera with me at the moment). Now time to start planning her First Birthday Party!!!!

Happy Father's Day...A Week Late

I know, I know. I'm a week late, but better late than never!

We have so many fathers in our family, it took us 3 days to celebrate! That Thursday, daddy & Irene came over and played with Natalee. We went in with Brandi & Irene & got him a smoker. He loved it! That Friday, we celebrated Terry's first Father's Day, because he had to work that Sunday. Natalee & I gave him an iPod Nano then took him to eat at Old Venice Pizza Company in Starkville. After we ate, we went by Terry's Aunt Verita's to spend a few minutes with them since we haven't seen them in several months. On our way home, we stopped by the Mitchell's so Terry could spend a few minutes with them. Terry went to work that Saturday & worked his 48 hours. That Sunday morning, Natalee & I got up & went to Stewart to meet the Mitchell's for church. We went to church with them then went to eat at Ruby Tuesday in Starkville. We spent most of the day with them & I know they enjoyed every minute of it! We gave Mr. Roger a wallet with the Christian fish symbol on it to match his belt he got for his birthday. On our way home, we stopped by the station to see Terry & to get a pic of him & Natalee but he was on a call & wouldn't be back to the station for a while, so Natalee & I dropped off his food & went home. When we got home, we went to moms to celebrate with Callaway. Again, we went in with Brandi & Dustin to get him an Arkansas Razorback Fossil watch. He is so proud of that thing, I don't think he ever takes it off! Again, Happy Father's Day to all of you dad's (a week late). We love you all!!

Like I said earlier, I didn't get a picture of Terry & Natalee on his first Father's Day, so I will upload a good pic of them later!

Another Milestone!

Natalee has hit another milestone! Well actually two! She is now rolling not only from belly to back but also from back to belly! She is rolling all over the place! She is also starting to sit on her own. She can't sit for long, but she can sit for at least a minute! (Got a pic, will post later!)

Also, she is cutting her first tooth! It has not been very quiet around our house lately. Monday night, she didn't sleep worth a darn. She woke me up around 2:15 so I put her in the bed with me (Terry was a work). She tossed & turned, whined, cried and fussed. Needless to say I didn't get very much sleep either! You can feel where it is coming in at & how swollen her gums are, but it hasn't broken the skin yet (at least as of last night it hasn't). We'll see what has happened when I get home.

Yet again...

Natalee has bronchitis and a severe ear infection! She started coughing over the weekend, nothing too bad. I was giving her some more of the meds left over from the last round of bronchitis. It didn't do anything but get worse and daycare called yesterday around lunch for me to pick her up. She was burning up! Terry took her to the walk-in clinic. Her fever was 101.1. They sat in an exam room for almost 2 hours before the doctor came in. Terry called me & I met them at the hospital. Natalee had to have her first X-Rays to be sure that it hadn't turned into pneumonia. They came back clear of pneumonia but definitely bronchitis. She then had to get a rocephin shot and we had to wait around the clinic for 30 minutes to be sure there wasn't any reactions. She was clear. We finally got out of the doctor office at 6:00!
Terry kept Natalee at home with him today, so we can be sure she isn't running a fever before going back to daycare tomorrow. He said she acts like she is feeling fine & has no fever!
On the bright side, we did find out Natalee weighs 13.2 lbs. She is gaining weight, just not much. I don't see how though cause she is eating like a pig!!

Just an Update...

Well there really isn't much to update on. Last week was rather boring & lazy. Thursday night we went to eat with Terry's parents & had a good time. Friday night we went to the campground where my aunt & her family were staying. They had a birthday party for a family friend who turned 40. It was quite interesting to say the least! Saturday & Sunday we worked at the Carroll Academy Golf Tournament. The booster club puts it on every year to raise money for the school. It was scorching hot both days! Granny kept Natalee all day Saturday & part of the day Sunday cause all of the other grandparents were either busy or out of town, so she had quite a good time!

Saturday, tragedy also struck a family that we have known for quite a while. Their 9 year old son was struck & killed by a truck while riding his 4-wheeler. It was such a sad time. I went with mom, Callaway, Dustin (who happens to be great friends with the little boys brother) and Brandi to his visitation. We got there between 6:15-6:30 & didn't get in the door until 7:45. Please pray for his family!

I'll update later with new milestones from Natalee!

Lions, Tigers & Bears...Oh My!

Saturday was an exciting eventful day! We asked Daddy & Irene to go with us to take Natalee to the Memphis Zoo. Daddy was sick so he didn't get to go, but Irene still went. Thank goodness we safely made it there & back. On the way there, some crazy maniac tried to run us off the road & start a fight! He cut us off & came within an inch of clipping the front of the truck. Then he slammed on his breaks. He got over in the other lane then tried to flag us down. When we got close to him, he pulled up beside us with his head out the window cursing up a storm! He finally left & we never saw him again! When we finally made it to the zoo, Natalee decided to stick her sunglasses down her throat! Needless to say she cannot wear them for a long time!! We finally got into the zoo & had so much fun. We got pics of Natalee "riding the cow", "getting hatched" & being a honey bee! She fell asleep before we got to the pandas but she did get to see the polar bears! She really didn't care much for the sea lion show, but she did get a pink stuffed sea lion, which she loves! Brandi, a friend of hers, & Dustin went with us but in a different vehicle. They left before we did but we met them to eat at Huey's which has some of the best burgers in Memphis! We got home around 8, then went to Aunt Debbie's to play a game. Boy were we pooped!!
