A Giveaway...

I'm not usually into all of these things but these are too cute to not be! One of the ways to enter was to blog about it, so here I am blogging about it!!! I follow the blog Polkadots & Pirate {the blog} & they are always giving away things. This time it's these Poms from PomLove.




Even if I don't have a use for them at the moment, I'm sure I could find something to do with them! Especially for birthday parties & things! I could even hang them in Natalee's room or playroom! They would make great decorations for that, especially since her playroom isn't very decorative at the moment!

Adventure #1

Taking away the bottle...was easy! Yes, that's right Natalee is completely off the bottle!! She has not had one in 2 weeks! She still won't drink milk from a sippy but Doc. said that as long as she was getting 3 dairies (sp?) a day she really didn't need it. So I'm not too concerned if she doesn't drink the milk. I still offer it everyday but she still refuses it. We went to one night time bottle for about a week then no bottle...easy as pie! She really doesn't miss it either, she's a pro at her sippy, especially the straw ones. If she sees a bottle she will point to it, but I will tell her no & she goes about her business. Yay! No more bottles to wash! Now we just have to get ready to take the pacifier away next year...that's gonna be a tough one!

Wooo Pig Sooieee!!

Mom, Callaway, Dustin, Kacy (a friend of my brother's), Brandi & Byron (a friend of my sister's) all went to the Liberty Bowl, which was held on January 2 in Memphis, Tennessee. Terry & I didn't think about getting tickets until it was too late, but I'm actually glad we didn't go. We watched the last half on the tvs at Applebee's while we were enjoying the warm air and good food, and they were outside in the 15 degree weather!! It was so cold there that the women went to wait in the truck after the 3rd quarter! From what I saw it was a great game! It was the Arkansas Razorbacks vs. East Carolina Pirates? (think that's what they are?). Arkansas was down at the beginning of the 3rd quarter but came back & tied the game. ECU kicker missed 2 field goals to win the game. The game went into overtime & ECU got the ball first. The kicker missed another field goal!! Can you actually believe he missed 3 in a row?? Arkansas got the ball & the kicker made the field goal to win the game. Final Score: 20 - 17!

Happy 2nd Anniversary!

Our 2nd wedding anniversary was Dec. 29, but Terry & I didn't get to celebrate until Jan. 2nd. Mrs. Delma & Mr. Roger kept Natalee that day. We went to Columbus to Old Navy to exchange some clothes Natalee got that were too big. Then we went to Starkville. We visited with his cousins, Lee & Levi for a while then went to Applebee's. We had a great dinner & watched the Liberty Bowl since it was playing on the tvs. I was glad they had it playing because I was kind of upset I was missing it. I'll give you those details in a separate post. Terry & I went to the movies to see Alvin & the Chipmunks, The Squeakquel. It was too cute! I love the chipmunks! We stayed the night in Stewart with the Mitchell's & went to church with them the next morning.

New Year, New Adventures!

New Year's Eve was actually very uneventful. Terry was working, so Natalee & I went to Deadra's to eat & hang out for a little while. Natalee & Madison played with each other & with Uncle Dustin. They are so cute chasing each other around in circles!



This was before we went to Deadra's. Natalee finally played in her ball pit. She usually won't sit in it & play. She likes to get the balls out & play on the floor.



I actually think they were arguing over who gets to play with which piece of the bowl. They were talking in their own language so we definitely couldn't understand them!



Here Dustin is trying to tickle Natalee. She sure does love her Uncle Dustin & now that she is "big enough to play", he really loves to play with her! He is the best uncle!



Here he is playing with Madison. And for those of you who do not know & keep seeing me "talk" about Deadra & Madison, Deadra is my Aunt from Louisiana & Madison is her granddaughter. They have a "camp", so they call it, here so they can come to Mississippi to be with family on certain occasions & have their own place to stay.

My resolutions this year...
1) lose weight (I say that every year but I really need to)
2) keep my house picked up at all times...a little hard for me but I'm working on it
I probably got a few more but these are the 2 I'm trying to work on now...I'll let you know how they work out.

Christmas Day

Christmas morning, Terry & I got up at 5, because he had to go to work & we still had to go to mom's before he left. He went in the living room to set up the camcorder while I got Natalee up. She was very hard to wake up at first. We walked about halfway in the kitchen & I put her down. She saw all of those toys & her eyes were so big! She looked up at me, pointed to the toys then to herself, as if she was asking if they were hers. It was so cute. I told her yes she could play with them & she ran straight to them!! It was amazing to see her little face when she saw everything Santa brought! I already can't wait til next year! Santa left Natalee a bounce & spin zebra, a Leap Frog laugh & learn musical table, a ball pit, some pjs, a pair of boots, a couple of movies, some blocks & a stocking full of stuff! Her favorite thing that morning was the table. Now she loves the balls from the ball pit! We tried to get her to open her gifts from mommy & daddy but she wanted nothing of it...she was too interested in her toys, so mommy had to open them.

We then got dressed & went to moms at 6 to open gifts. Of course the first gift Natalee opened was a big jug of Cheetos! We all opened gifts & enjoyed each others company. Terry left to go to work & we finished our gifts. We then just sat around waiting on 11:00 so we could go to Deadra's. We went there & ate & opened gifts. Madison & Natalee played together and had a good time. Natalee & I took Terry a plate so he could have one good meal on Christmas day! We then went to Debbie's to see what Santa brought Ryan & Katie Lauren. They got so much stuff! Ryan got a unicycle & a bicycle & Katie Lauren got a motorized scooter. We left for granny's. After everyone got there, we ate a good meal. Granny finally let the kids open their stockings. Natalee got some crayons, m&ms & a cookie. We then opened gifts. We took our traditional family picture & sat around & talked for a little while. Natalee & I were super tired! We went to mom's, loaded up our stuff & went home! Natalee was asleep before we even got out of the driveway good & we only live about a mile from mom!

Christmas Eve & the day before

We had a busy busy Christmas week. On Wednesday the 23rd, daddy & Irene came to the house. We ate chicken spaghetti, salad & bread. We then opened gifts. Natalee got a bunch of new clothes, a pull along dog, & a bus that has a dog, cat & frog on it that sing "The Puppy on the Bus". Terry got some grilling sauces, a grilling cookbook & a couple of shirts, I got some movies & a cookbook & Brandi got some bath & body stuff, candles & a cookbook.

Terry, Natalee & I got up kind of early Christmas Eve. We went to Stewart to celebrate Christmas with his family. Natalee still had some birthday presents at their house, so she got to open them as soon as we got there. They were more clothes!! She really needed clothes, so I'm not complaining by any means! We went to Mamaw Boatman's for lunch & visited with Terry's aunts & cousins. Natalee got a lot of cute toys! She loves her farm animal fridge magnets (Thanks Lee!) She carries them everywhere! We went back to The Mitchell's & opened our gifts. Natalee got a Lee Middleton doll, a caterpillar thing that has rings on it, the CUTEST pea coat!, a pink vest with fur on the hood (too cute!!) & a few other clothes & toys. Terry & I both got a North Face coat & a bag of goodies. Terry also got a knife & I got some jewelry. We then enjoyed each others company & let Natalee play with her toys, even though she liked Mr. Roger's foam ball better than anything!
When we left there, we went by mom's to make our plans for the next morning. Deadra & her family & granny was there. While we were talking, Santa stopped by to see Natalee & Madison. He brought Natalee a book & Madison a doll & they both got oreo cakesters.
Natalee does not like Santa at all but Madison didn't mind him as long as he had something for her!

Later that night, Terry & I exchanged gifts. He got me the open heart ring to match the necklace & earrings he had already gotten me, & a couple of Nintendo DS games. I got him House - Season 5, bath & body stuff (which I forgot to wrap), & Guitar Hero 5 for the Wii. We waited to let Natalee open her gifts Christmas morning. Terry & I had also bought a new camera as a family Christmas gift. We got it early so we could use it for Natalee's birthday party. I made cookies for Santa but Natalee went to bed before they were done so I set them out for her.
