2 Week Checkup!

Sadie had her two week check up on May 23.  She weighed in at 7 lbs. 6 oz & was 19 1/2 inches long!  She had grown so much in just those two weeks!  Doc said she looked great & everything was good.  We go back at two months for shots!

Mother's Day

Since we had just gotten home from the hospital, we didn't do much. We stayed around the house for the most part.  Brandi cooked supper for me, mom & granny, so we went to her house to eat. I made a devil's food cake with homemade fluffy white icing to take.  We had a great day doing nothing!

She's Here!!

Tuesday, May 8 was the day for my scheduled section.  We got to the hospital at 5:00 that morning.  The section was scheduled for 8.  Well 8:00 came & the doctor came by.  It was gonna be a little longer. They had one lady about to deliver & one lady that needed an emergency section.  It was all good though.  Since I was in no pain, I was really in no hurry.  The nurses came & got me about 10:15 or so & took me to the OR.  Miss Sadie Grace was born at 10:35 am.  She is beautiful!  Looks just like Natalee did!  Terry and the nurse took her up to the nursery & got her weighed & measured.  She was 6 lbs. 14 oz & 18 in. long.  She was a whole pound plus some bigger than Natalee & a half an inch shorter!  I don't have the pics the hospital took on my computer, but once I get them loaded on a computer, I will load them on here. 

I went on to recovery for about 30 minutes then the nurses took me to the nursery to see Sadie, then on to a room.  Sadie did not get to come to my room for almost 6 hours, so I didn't get to hold her until about 4:30/5:00.  That night mom, granny and Brandi brought Natalee back up to the hospital to see her little sister.  She was so excited.  She was on of the first to hold her & she got mad when everyone else wanted to hold her.  She didn't want to share her sister!  Delma & Roger also came to see their new grandbaby that night.

The next day, we had a few visitors come by.  Terry's Aunt Theresa & Uncle Tim, Aunt Verita & Uncle Allen & his cousin Angela came by.  Luckily, Sadie had just come back from the nursery when they came by.  That night, daddy & Irene came back.

Thursday, May 10, we got to come home! We left the hospital around 11:30, took my prescription by the pharmacy, made a stop by Sonic (momma was hungry!) then headed home.
