October

October was a fun month!  Sadie's babysitter was closed on Oct. 2 & 3 due to cataract (sp?) surgery.  Terry kept her one day & Irene kept her the other.  She is a good baby, so they had no trouble out of her!

On Saturday, Oct. 6, Carrollton had their annual Pilgrimage.  It turned out to be cold this year!  Terry & I loaded up the girls & went.  We actually go there the same time mom, granny & Brandi did, so we all walked around together.  There were many booths, mostly pottery & homemade wooden decor, but everything was nice.  Triple N Ranch had a couple of horses for the kids to ride & a camel!  The camel wasn't big enough to ride just yet plus he's gotta be trained, but he was out walking around for all the kids to see & pet.  I managed to buy a couple of Christmas presents.  Got finished with Brandi & got a couple more things, just not sure who I'm going to give them to just yet! The rest of the afternoon we just stayed around the house & had a lazy day!

We celebrated Brandi's birthday that Sunday.  She chose chili for her birthday dinner!

The next week, school was closed on Monday, the 8th, for fall break.  Daycare was also closed Monday & Tuesday.  Ms. Holman had cataract surgery on her other eye!  Natalee spent the night with Mamaw & Papaw Mitchell that Sunday night & they kept her that Monday.  Irene kept Sadie that Monday & part of the day Tuesday, while Terry got some sleep. They all seemed to have fun.

Wednesday, the 10th, Sadie had a check up for her ears.  She had another ear infection!  This time the opposite ear! Good news is she weighed in at 14 lbs. 14 oz!  She is now in a size 2 diaper, 3-6 month clothes, drinking 5-6 6oz bottles a day & eating at least 2 meals & sometimes a snack!  We love our chunky monkey! Also, she celebrated her 5 month birthday on Oct. 8!

Friday, the 12th, North New Summit School had their Cowboy Festival.  Debbie was in charge of Bingo, so we went to help her. And to play! I help Debbie take up money & mom called out the numbers.  We had so many prizes!  It was supposed to be from 7:30 - 9:30, but we didn't get finished until about 11!  Everyone had fun though & loved all the prizes Debbie got! I did end up winning one set of prizes.  It was a set of "green" storage containers, a ring, a t-shirt, a couple of bowling passes, a couple of gift cert for the Waffle House, a gift cert to Crystal Grill, a gift cert to the donut place, a gift cert to the school uniform place, & a couple of bracelets....I think that's all!  It was well over $150 worth of stuff!

That about sums up the month of October, except for school events & Halloween, which will be in separate posts!

School Events - September

Sept. 11 was Open House & spaghetti supper.  We went to Natalee's classroom & talked with her teacher.  We also got to see the things she learned the week before! We got our spaghetti plates & headed home.  Note to self: do NOT get the spaghetti if the same person cooks it next year!  It was HORRIBLE!!

Sept. 12 was school picture day!  I forgot to get a pic of her before school, but I'll upload a copy of her pic when I can get it scanned in!

Sept. 21 was homecoming.  Each day was a different dress up day.  Monday was color day.  The Kindergarteners had to wear red.  Tuesday was twin day.  Natalee didn't have a twin for the day.  The only other little girl in her class we don't know that well, so I was unable to get up with her mom to see if she wanted them to dress up together.  Wednesday was college day.  I couldn't get anything Arkansas here in time, so we decided to support Mississippi State!  She was so cute in her maroon & white!  Thursday was nerd day & Natalee REFUSED to dress as a nerd! :(  I tried my best to get her to dress up, but she just wouldn't!  Friday was homecoming shirt day.  I ordered Natalee the smallest size shirt they had (youth small) and it is 3 sizes too big!  She wore it that day, but it has since become a night shirt. They got out of school at 1:00 that day.  BB & Uncle Dustin picked Natalee up & went to the parade.  She loved it!  We went to the game that night to watch our cousin in the homecoming court.  Although she wasn't crowned queen, she was the prettiest of all!  CA didn't win the game, but it was the best game they played all year!  It went into overtime & they lost with 2 inches from the goal!  It was a "keep you on your toes" kind of game!

The other dress up days were Wild Hair day for the home game & school spirit day for the away games.

September

September was a busy month! We had College Game Day (first day of college football), Labor Day, Grandparents Day, 2 birthday parties, Open House at school, Sadie's 4 month check up, Homecoming, Sadie started big girl food, & mom, Callaway & I started our diet! Whew! That was a mouth full!  Some of these will be separate posts, but here's the gist of it!

On Sept. 1, we celebrated College Game Day!  We had a bunch of finger foods & watched the Arkansas game! It was a great day!

On Labor Day, we did nothing but lay around the house, cause mommy (me) was sick! :o  Mom was cooking & we were planning on going over there, but there was no way I was going to make it!

I totally forgot about Grandparents Day, but Natalee ended up celebrating a school (another post)!

On Sept. 8, Natalee went with BB & Nana to Louisiana for Madison's 4th birthday party.  It was a Splish Splash theme & Natalee had a blast.  Carol rented a giant blowup waterslide & they had a kiddie pool.  From the pics I saw, it looked like a lot of fun!

Sept. 22, we had a birthday party in Schlater.  Ally turned 4! They had a bouncy house too!  Her theme was Hello Kitty!  Natalee had a lot of fun playing with the other kids!

Sept. 23, mom, Callaway & I started our diet.  We went low carb.  By Sept. 30, I had lost 3 lbs!

Poor child is gonna be all confused! MS State dress & Arkansas bib!

Happy 4 Months!

Someone wore herself out playing too hard!

Natalee LOVES playing with Sadie Grace!

August!

The first week of August was rough.  Natalee & Terry both had the stomach virus!  Luckily, it only lasted 24 hours.

Aug. 8, Sadie turned 3 months!

Happy 3 Months, baby girl!

I can't remember the date, but one Saturday, we went to Starkville with The Mitchell's.  We went to FlexSteel & got some new furniture!  We got a loveseat that reclines on both ends with a console in the middle & a recliner!  It opened up the living room so much compared to having the couch & loveseat being in there!  This was our early Christmas present from them!  Thank you guys so much!  We are enjoying it so much!

No other news really for the month of August, except a few school related items, but I will post all school functions in a separate post.

Just a few pictures below! Enjoy!

School - August

CA had Meet the Rebels on Monday, Aug. 13.  Needless to say, we did not go.  One reason, we forgot about it.

That Thursday, the 16th, Mrs. Payge calls me to come get Natalee.  She was burning up with a fever!  BB picked her up for me, since she was on her way there anyways.  The next morning, she was still running fever, so she was unable to go to school!  I hated it too, because she missed her first pep rally!  It was also Techno Day, so she didn't get to dress up for that either! Since Natalee wasn't able to go to school, we had to miss the ballgame too.

On Aug. 23, I signed Natalee up for dance.  Every Thursday, Mrs. Renee comes to the school to teach dance lessons to each class.  She needed tap & ballet shoes, plus some outfits.  We ended up getting the shoes from a local shoe store, but the outfits came from Wal-Mart!  The shoe store wanted way too much for one outfit!  The one Natalee wanted was $20 for just the leotard!  We got a leotard, skirt & tights at Wal-Mart, all for less than $20. Natalee's first class was on the 30th.  She has to wear her outfit to school in the mornings, since her class is first thing, and take a change of clothes with her.  She seemed to love it!  I'll ask her what she learned & she'll say "We tapped" or "We balleted" & show me what she learned!  She has always wanted to dance, so I thought this was the perfect opportunity for her!

Go Rebels!!

First Day of K3!

Natalee started 3 year old kindergarten at Carroll Academy on Thursday, August 9.  It was only a half day, but she really enjoyed it! We got there right before 8.  I walked her to her room with all of her supplies.  Her big ol' backpack looked so huge on her itty bitty self, but she doesn't have to put much in it, so it's perfect for her.  She actually picked her backpack & lunchbox out herself!  She did good to!  It's not a "kiddie" backpack like most kids pick out so I was happy!  When we got to her classroom, she was the first one there.  Her teacher is Mrs. Payge.  Natalee loves her!  She had to help Mrs. Payge unload her backpack & show her everything she had.  She was so excited!  One of her classmates arrived shortly after we did.  His name is Elliot. There is only 6 kids in her class: Natalee, Elliot, Jayce, Joseph, Nick & Savannah.  Yep, that's right, only TWO girls!

Friday was her first full day.  She had so much fun!  She said they didn't do anything but play, which is probably true since it was the first full day & a Friday!  She was excited to go back the next week!

First Day of K3!  Not sure why she is smiling like that!

Her backpack & lunchbox.  Yes, she picked it out herself!

The Rest of July

On July 7, mom, Sadie & I went garage saleing (sp?).  We had a lot of fun!  We stopped at one on the way to Carrollton & didn't find anything.  We then went to the shop in Carrollton.  Katie Lauren's softball team was having a 12 family garage sale to raise money for the World Series.  They did great!  Raised over $1000!  We then headed to Greenwood.  We stopped a couple of places but didn't find anything.  We then hit the jackpot!  Mom bought TWO almost new recliners for $80 TOTAL!  I bought a playmat, an umbrella stroller & a Christmas present for Sadie, plus a glider with ottoman, all for less then $40!

We had the Holman family reunion on July 8.  It was moved to the Black Hawk Schoolhouse this year.  Real nice place!  Great food & great company!  Had a great time!

Happy Baby!

Daddy & baby girl!

Daddy & his girls before the reunion!

This is what Natalee picked out to wear!
Kinda fancy for a family reunion, but still cute!

Mommy & her girls!

The weekend of July 21, Team Fusion played in the Dizzy Dean World Series in Southaven.  Terry & I took the girls to watch Katie Lauren.  They lost the one game we watched but they did good!  We left after they first game because it was starting to rain & we were getting hungry!  Overall they came in 2nd place out of the whole tournament!  Go Team Fusion!  Anyways, after we left, we headed to find something to eat.  We went to Longhorn Steakhouse!  Terry & I both had a steak & Natalee of course had a hotdog!  It was delish! By the time we finished, it was pouring rain! We went to the mall to buy school clothes.  We went to The Children's Place first.  Of course, Natalee is so small she can hardly wear anything.  We bought all 4T clothes, so they would be long enough but they are too big in the waist!  The shirts are even a little long and yes, we did try them on before we bought them!  We bought over $100 worth of clothes for only $60 something!  We then headed to Crazy 8...LOVE their clothes!  I bought over $100 worth of stuff for around $30!  I got Sadie a couple of Christmas things on clearance for no more then $4 & I got both girls matching coats for about $7 each!  That was it for the girls, it was time for mommy & daddy to get something!  We went to the shoe store and bought Terry & I both a pair of tennis shoes.  They were having a sale, buy one get one half off, so we racked up, yet again! We got both pair, plus Terry a pack of socks for right at $100!  That was it!  We were done!  We went in a few other stores, but didn't buy anything.  By this time, we were tired & the girls were worn out, so we decided it was time to head home.  First we had to make a quick trip by Sonic for dessert!  Terry & I got a hey batter batter blast (I sure do miss those things! They were the best) and Natalee got a milkshake.  She LOVES milkshakes!  When we got home, we unloaded the car & got everyone situated, rested & went to bed!

2 month Check up

Sadie turned 2 months on July 8. She had her 2 month check up on July 11.  She weighed in at a whopping 10 lbs. 6 oz.  She is definitely gonna outweigh her sister before long!  She was 22.5 inches long.  In 10 weeks, she had gained a total of 5 inches in length!  She's gonna be a big girl!  Other than her getting 3 shots, everything went great!

Happy 2 Months SG!

We went for a WIC appointment on the 17th & she weighed 10 lbs. 14 oz. That means she gained 8 oz. over a course of 6 days!

Happy Independence Day!

For the 4th, we didn't do much, since it was during the week. We went to mom's for lunch & hung out for a little while. Carol, Madison, Brody & Joyce were there and Terry had to work. I made some orange creamsicle cupcakes. They were amazing! The kids also enjoyed playing in the pool with BB & Carol.  Hope you all had a great 4th!

Granny & SG - Sweet Pic!

June

The month of June came & went pretty fast.  We had the girls pictures made by Stephanie on June 6.  I'm still waiting on proofs!  As soon as I get them, I will be sure to post! Sadie turned 1 month old on the 8th, so we considered this her 1 month photo shoot.  I didn't get a 1 month picture on her actually "birthday" though! :(
On June 8, Sadie Grace had her first trip to church!  Terry was at work, so it was just me, Natalee & SG.  Natalee was not a very good girl!  She kept wanting to talk, going from Debbie to Katie Lauren, to Ryan, back to Katie Lauren, back to Debbie...you get the picture!

On June 13, we took the girls to the Children's Museum. Granted, SG can't do anything, but it was great getting her out of the house. Natalee had so much fun. She actually got to do more this time around than she did the first time we went. We spent about 2 1/2 hours in there letting her have fun! We then went to Gigi's Cupcakes & treated her to a Texas Milk Chocolate cupcake! I had the Orange Dreamsicle & Terry had the Wedding Cake. They were all delish! We then headed to Target. We fooled around Target for a little while, waiting on time for supper. Terry wanted Red Lobster so we ate there. Of course, Natalee wouldn't eat anything, except fries. She still won't try anything new! Anyways, we headed back home. The Mitchell's were coming back from a trip to Missouri, so we met them in Winona. They ended up taking Natalee home with them.

We celebrated Father's Day on the 16th.  Didn't do much, just went to moms to eat.  Terry got off work that morning or, otherwise, we would have gone to church in Stewart.  Of course, I failed to get a picture of Terry & his girls! Since I had the baby my 6 weeks off were kind of hectic, so we still have to buy mother's day & father's day presents for everyone!  I think I may do that this weekend while we are school clothes shopping!

Terry's Father's Day gift.  A candy bouquet, a pancake dispenser, drawings from Natalee &
a list of All About My Daddy from Natalee!

The girls hand & foot prints.  I promise Sadie does have 5 toes!
Just couldn't get them all to lay down!

June 18, was my first day back at work!  Joys upon all joys!  No really, it wasn't that bad! In fact, a lot better than I thought it would be! Which it was also Sadie's first day at daycare!  It was bittersweet.   Sadie has adjusted really well to daycare. Mama D is really good to the kids she keeps & spoils them! Sadie LOVES Mama D!  If she is awake in the mornings, she will start just a grinning!  Sometimes, Alex, Mama D's granddaughter, will be there to help her.  She is still in school, but she is wonderful to the kids also!

Getting ready for the first day of daycare!

Since I went back to work, we have been letting Natalee just stay with whomever for the summer.  I didn't see the need for her to start a different daycare for a month and a half, then turn around & start school, so Terry, granny, daddy & Irene, & Delma & Roger have all been taking turns keeping her.  Well when she stays with Terry, he lets her pretty much do whatever she wants.  She even dresses herself (pick out her own clothes).  Well this is what I came home to one afternoon:

She has also decided she wanted a blue stripe in her hair.  Don't worry, this was just paint, but even after washing it twice, it still had a green tint! She even stays in her pjs all day sometimes.  She has a rude awakening coming when school starts though!
