Natalee turned 5 months Friday!! She is so big! Growing too fast! She finally started taking her sippy cup better and actually loves it! She tried several new foods over the last week! First it was squash, then I gave her a taste of chocolate pie Sunday night & Monday we gave her a popsicle! She loved it all but I think the popsicle was her favorite by far (you judge by the pic below). Natalee is still sleeping in her room in her bed! There are a couple of nights I did let her sleep in the pack-n-play but that is only because it was supposed to storm & Terry was at work! Friday morning, while I was getting ready for work, Natalee was laying on her boppy on our bed. I looked up to check on her & I found she had undone her diaper! She had that "Ha Ha Look What I Did" look on her face. I told her no no, we do not undo our diaper unless we are being changed....well she did it again! In fact, several times over the weekend!

Not Another One...Actually TWO!!
You guessed it! Natalee had another ear infection...well actually two. One in both ears! We have had our 10 days of antibiotics to hopefully they are cleared up! She also had another bad cough, but that's finally gone!
The bright side of taking her to the doctor last Monday though, was we got to find out how much she weighs! She was 12 lbs. 9 oz.!

And Now For Something Dinosaur!
I haven't updated in a while, so I'll try to remember everything that's been going on over the past week and a half. Here goes...
Natalee had her first program last Saturday (May 16). It was actually the K5 graduation for daycare, but all of the children had a chance to participate. The 3 & 4 year olds performed first. When they sang "Rock A Bye Baby", the parents had to walk the babies out. You can see the program at www.thetaxpayerschannel.org. It wasn't much to it, but it was cute!! Here is a pic of Natalee's debut!

We Did It!
We put Natalee in her bed for the first time last night. She has taken naps in it a lot so she could get used to her room. She slept all night!! She has been sleeping through the night for a while now so I thought it was about time. She had been sleeping in her pack-n-play in our room since day 1. We put her down around 9:30. I did get up around 12 to go in & check on her. She was still asleep in the same position as when we put her down. Natalee woke up around 5:30 this morning. I went in & gave her the pacifier. This time she was in a different position and a different spot. She was in the top corner up next to the bumper (don't worry, she was on her back & just fine). I put her back in the correct position and she laid there & played & talked for about 15-20 minutes. Terry & I laid in bed listening to her talk through the monitor. It was so cute & funny! I did get a pic of her when we first put her in her bed, but I failed to get one this morning of the position she was in. I'll try to get one one morning.

Congrats Grads!!
Tonight is Carroll Academy's graduation. Because of all the rain they had to move it to the gym. But I remember 9 years ago, I was standing up there getting my diploma! I know the graduates & their parents are all proud of them! My cousin, Randall, is graduating tonight. I know he will be glad to be out of high school! Thursday night is Morgan's graduation at Franklin Parish High School in Winnsboro, LA. She has been to several different schools between Mississippi & Louisiana, that I know she will also be glad it's over! You both have worked hard & deserve the next step in life. Move on to the next chapter of your life with an open mind & an open heart, after all it is just the beginning! It's an amazing experience to grow up & be who you are meant to be (even tho it's not much fun at times!). Congratulations to the both of you & we love you!

Happy Mother's Day
Hope everyone had a great Mother's Day!! I know my first one was wonderful! When Natalee got home from daycare Friday, there was a card she had "made" for me in her diaper bag. It was the sweetest thing! Friday night she & her daddy took me out to eat, since Terry had to work yesterday. They gave me a pair of Open Heart Earrings to match my necklace I got for Valentine's Day. Those two are too sweet!! Saturday night, daddy & Irene came over & played with Natalee for a little while, while I made a graduation cake. Sunday morning, Natalee & I got up & went to meet Terry's parents so we could go to church with them, where Mr. Roger preaches. They gave me a nice silhouette necklace & the sweetest card! After church, Mr. Roger took Mrs. Delma & me to eat at Chili's in Starkville. He is too sweet! We had a great day just enjoying their company & talking. We got Terry a to go dessert & we stopped by MedStat on our way home to visit with him for a bit. Natalee & I then went to my grandmother's where my sister had cooked chicken spaghetti for all the moms in the family. We sat around granny's talking & enjoying each others company. After a long and eventful day, we finally got home & both hit the sack! Here are some pics of the card!
A Weekend of Firsts!
It's been a while so I thought I would update you on what all has happened over the past week. Thursday night I showed Natalee how to hold her bottle. She has done it ever since & doesn't seem to mind it. Sometimes she does still get lazy & won't do it, but that's ok...mommy will hold her bottle anytime she wants her to! She also tried green beans for the first time Thursday night...she does not like them by the way! But she does like the sweet potatoes! I also did something I thought I wouldn't be able to do for a very long time & it was still very hard to do and that was let Natalee stay away from home for the first time Thursday! She stayed with Aunt BB (my sister) which is only about 5 seconds down the road, but I was still worried about her all night! I know she was in good hands, but it was still hard & it will still be a while before she does it again! Saturday, I gave her a sippy cup for the first time with juice. She took to it ok but she's not that interested in it right now. But she loves her juice!! And the most important first was my first Mother's Day!!!! (I'll tell you about that in another post.)
