Christmas - The Final Chapter - Christmas Day
Santa came early to our house. We were up at 5! We usually have Christmas at mom's around 6 so we had to get up & do our thing at home first. I didn't get very many pictures because I was recording the moment, but I did get a few.
Part of what Santa left
We knew it was raining when we got up, but we went outside to see what Santa brought & it was actually SNOWING! This was the first white Christmas for any of us & we loved it!
Her trampoline!!! She loves it!
SNOW!!
This was after we got to mom's
We ended up getting to mom's about 6:15. When we walked in, the first words out of Natalee's mouth were, "I wanna open pesents!" So we opened presents! All of us kids went in together to get mom & Callaway a new grill. They needed one bad! Natalee had so much fun opening presents! She wanted to help pass them out & she wouldn't open anyone else's, which surprised me. She got so much stuff! Well, we all did really! She got some new cowgirl boots & a four wheeler which she LOVES! She asks to ride it everyday! Brandi & I were surprised by mom with a manicure at the Alluvian Spa. I can't wait to go! Here are some pics from that morning.
Her new cowgirl boots!
Deer in the snow...not sure why this is blurry
Not sure why this one is blurry either, but I really liked this pic
Her 4-wheeler!
She got on & did not want to get off! Didn't take her long to figure out how to make it work!
After presents, we went to Debbie's for breakfast and to see what Ryan & Katie Lauren got. We couldn't stay long cause Joyce was coming to mom's for lunch. When she got there, mom finished cooking then we opened presents. Natalee was still having fun! She pointed to a bag & said "That's papaw's" and sure enough it was. Then she decided to open it & after we told her it wasn't for her, she tried putting the tissue paper back in the bag! She did that with one of Joyce's too, but that one was wrapped. She tried putting the paper back on it this time! When we sat down to eat, Natalee was so worn out. She almost fell asleep in her highchair. Luckily, Aunt BB was finished, so she put her down for a nap.
After lunch, Brandi, Natalee & I went to town to see Mamaw Woodard (Irene's mom) who is in the nursing home. We visited with them for a little while & headed back home.
That night, we had Christmas at granny's. When everyone got there, we ate supper. After supper, the kids were anxious to open their presents. They opened their stockings before we opened anything else. The living room looked like a tornado hit it, there was so much stuff! But with 15/16 people...what do you expect??? Natalee got an easel & a baby doll set (stroller, playpen, swing) & a few other things. As for me, well, I got the one thing I asked for....A SEWING MACHINE!! Now I can learn to sew Natalee some clothes! I'm so excited about it!
Hope everyone had a Very Merry Christmas & has a wonderful 2011!

Christmas - Part 2
We spent Christmas Eve in Stewart. We got to the Mitchell's house about 10:30. While lunch was still cooking, we sat around & talked & let Natalee open one present. She opened her doll house. She loved it!
We dined on pork loin, ribs, corn casserole, sweet potato casserole, english peas, mashed potatoes & rolls. For dessert, there was german chocolate cake & cheesecake. After we cleaned up the table, we opened presents. Natalee got a lot of nice things. Her favorite of the day was her tricycle! She was so excited & got on it & tried to peddle. Her feet were just a little short! It came with a handle you can add to the back, so papaw pushed her around!
Papaw & Mamaw pushed Natalee to Mamaw Boatman's house. Terry & I drove so the food would make it there in one piece. We visited with family we don't see very often & enjoyed some snacks. When we got back to the Mitchell's, Terry & I took short little naps & Natalee played with Mamaw & Papaw. After it got dark, we shot some fireworks. Natalee was not too thrilled about them this time. I think the main thing was she was getting tired!
We ended up leaving about 6:00. On our way home, we stopped by Kilmichael to look at the lights. Every year they decorate the square with a different theme. This year it was Christmas Around the World. I didn't get any pics but it was cute!
When we got home, we put out cookies for Santa. Natalee would not go to bed! I tried for 2 hours to get her to sleep & she would have nothing of it! Terry finally got her to sleep about 11:30!

Christmas- Part 1
We celebrated Christmas with my dad & Irene on Dec. 23. They were supposed to be there between 6 & 6:30, which I should have known Irene was gonna be late! They didn't get there until 7/7:15, which was fine with me cause we didn't have anything else to do. We had some yummy finger foods & opened presents. Natalee got some bath colors, 2 Minnie Mouse shirts, a stool, a cd with songs that has her name in them, a see & say, a babydoll & a rocking horse! We saved the rocking horse for last & she loved it!!! When you press on of his ears, he neighs & it makes a galloping sound. The other one makes his tail & head move. She also loves her stool. She brought it in the kitchen the other night & wanted to help me wash dishes!
Christmas Goodies
I was off Wed - Fri of last week. Wednesday, we went to town to run a few errands. When we got home, Natalee & I made homemade sugar cookies. I made the dough before we left so it could chill while we were gone. Natalee helped me roll the dough & cut out the cookies. She had so much fun! I think there was more flour on her than the counter! When we started, her pjs were pink. When we got finished, they were white!
Getting everything ready
She wouldn't let me help her at all!
Trying to roll it out
There is as story behind this. I turned around to transfer some freshly baked cookies to the cooling rack. I turn back around & this is what I find. All she would say is "I pushed em down, mama. I pushed em down." I guess she thought since I told her to push down on the cookie cutters, it also meant to poke the cookies!
Patting it out
Natalee's face when it was all said & done
Natalee didn't get to help decorate because it was late & I was using Royal Icing for the first time so I wasn't sure if she would be able to use it. Here is one of the snowmen!
Some of the finished products.
I thought the stockings turned out super cute!
This was the cutest Christmas tree! The others were not that pretty.

Natalee's 2nd Birthday Party
Natalee's 2nd birthday isn't officially until tomorrow, but we held her party on Friday, Dec. 10, which was my birthday! Granny & I stayed up making her cake that Thursday & I was so happy with the way it turned out! She had a Zebra print/pink & white polka dot/Minnie Mouse theme. It was too cute. I didn't get all the decorations I wanted, but I think it turned out cute anyways. She got lots of nice goodies! I'm not sure where everything is gonna go, especially after Christmas!!

Her cake!

Pinata Time!
She absolutely HATES this dog. His ears flop up & down & when you turn him on she starts screaming "No, I not like it. I not like it".
Terry's favorite gift...the Singamajig (sp?)
The banner Aunt BB made
One of her favorite presents
